Advanced Negotiation Techniques
Gain a global perspective on negotiation, stakeholder management and online communication. Advanced Negotiation Techniques is an intensive 2-day executive program for experienced negotiators and senior leaders who operate in international, high-stakes environments.
Introduction
Modern negotiations unfold across jurisdictions, cultures, regulatory systems, and digital interfaces. Success requires more than tactical skill; it demands cultural intelligence, psychological insight, and strategic orchestration.
This program is designed to combine advanced conceptual frameworks with realistic, high-intensity negotiation simulations reflecting the complexity of international business, stakeholder- and conflict management - online.
Content
Building trust during negotiations is essential to uncover each party’s real interests and priorities. However, in an increasingly digital world of fast communication - trust building becomes harder. As negotiators we still rely on our human senses to differentiate friends from enemies. And the further distance – physically, culturally or professionally – the harder it gets.
During the course we will therefore explore how emotions spread within social interactions, how these processes lay the foundation for empathy, and how the use of digital systems impacts the development of empathy. You will learn to recognize and regulate your own emotional signals, how to read others’ emotional signals, and how and when to use face to face, digital, or hybrid contexts.
Learning Impact
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Lead complex cross-border negotiations with strategic coherence and cultural intelligence
- Design negotiation strategies that integrate psychology, power analysis, and long-term relationship management
- Demonstrate authority and credibility in high-level virtual negotiations
- Anticipate and decode counterpart tactics across cultural and institutional contexts
- Build and lead high-performing negotiation teams in global organizations
- Institutionalize negotiation and stakeholder management as a core strategic capability at executive level
