NG Nordic leads Europe’s recycling industry with 78% taxonomy-aligned revenue

New figures show that 78% of NG Nordic’s total turnover comes from activities classified as sustainable under the EU Taxonomy. This means that nearly four out of five euros in revenue come from activities contributing to the EU’s sustainable development objectives, placing NG Nordic at the top of Europe’s recycling industry based on publicly available EU taxonomy reporting, and significantly above most traditional industrial sectors.

The European Commission has presented the Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA), a framework aimed at strengthening Europe’s industrial capacity and accelerating decarbonisation in strategic sectors.

P. Olesen A/S is to demolish the Esbjerg power plant – a large and demanding construction project that will circulate up to 99% of the materials

P. Olesen A/S, owned by NG Nordic, has won the turnkey contract for Ørsted's decommissioned coal-fired power plant in Esbjerg and the redevelopment of the 150,000 m2 port area. The project will take approximately two years to complete and includes dismantling the plant, a 74-meter-high boiler building, and the iconic 250-meter-high stack. Ørsted will then return a vacant and fully restored area to the Port of Esbjerg.

Fredag den 16. maj har Energistyrelsen offentliggjort de prækvalificerede projekter til støtte fra CCS-puljen. NG Nordics CO2-fangstprojekt i Nyborg er ikke blandt de prækvalificerede projekter.

NG Nordic og byen Riihimäki i Finland har underskrevet en foreløbig aftale om opkøb af jord til de næste faser af Carbon2x-programmet. Formålet med programmet er at genanvende CO2-emissionerne fra forbrændingen af ikke-genanvendeligt affald og at producere ansvarlige produkter, som f.eks. biologisk nedbrydelig plast.

NG Nordic får europæisk patent på banebrydende innovation inden for fjernelse af sulfat

Papir-, mine- og metalforædlingsindustrien genererer spildevand, der ofte indeholder høje koncentrationer af sulfater. Udledningen af sulfatholdigt spildevand i naturlige miljøer som floder, søer og have giver anledning til stigende bekymring, da sulfater er kendt for at bidrage til at skade økosystemer og reducere biodiversiteten.
