CoP Food: Deep Dive Supplier dialogue workshop on South African Fruits
South Africa is a dominant fruit exporter in the global market, with the EU among its key export destinations. In Denmark, buyers of fresh and processed fruits are aware that fruit production is increasingly vulnerable to climate fluctuations, with less predictable harvests, droughts, floods and negative impacts on nature. Furthermore, food supply chains are often characterized by socio-economic challenges such as poverty and precarious conditions for workers.

To support more collaboration and strengthen resilient supply chains, Ethical Trade Denmark’s Food Community of Practice (CoP Food) is hosting an online Supply Chain Dialogue Workshop on fruits sourced from South Africa. The workshop will include a facilitated discussion on social and environmental challenges in South Africa, potential solutions to address these challenges, and examples of good practices from suppliers.
The meeting will take place online on Zoom.
The agenda will be published approximately a month before the meeting.
This meeting is part of Ethical Trade Denmark’s Food Community of Practice (CoP Food), and the meeting is privileged to private sector members of the community.
If you have any questions or want to know more about the community, initiative, or want to sign up please reach out to jd@etiskhandel.dk.
