CoP Food: Deep Dive and Supplier dialogue workshop on Hazelnuts from Türkye

Climate change is affecting production through more frequent droughts, frost events and irregular weather patterns, leading to less predictable harvests. At the same time, the hazelnut supply chain continues to face social and economic challenges, including fragmented smallholder production, traceability issues, and the need to improve working conditions for migrant and seasonal workers.

To support greater collaboration and strengthen resilient supply chains, Ethical Trade Denmark’s Food Community of Practice is hosting an online Supply Chain Dialogue Workshop focusing on hazelnut supply chains in Türkiye. The workshop will include a facilitated discussion on the social and environmental challenges facing the sector, potential solutions for improvement, and examples of good practices from suppliers.

The workshop will take place online via Zoom.

The agenda will be published approximately a month before the meeting.

This meeting is part of Ethical Trade Denmark’s Food Community of Practice (CoP Food), and the meeting is privileged to private sector members of the community.
