LEADING OUR BUSINESS TOWARDS LOW IMPACT CHOICES
You will become part of BESTSELLER’s Environment team within the BESTSELLER Sustainability function. We are an international team of skilled and driven colleagues that set the overall direction for our sustainability agenda through our strategy, Fashion Forward. 

In the Environment team we are change makers, with a focus on assessing environmental impacts on corporate and product level, creating guidance for BESTSELLER to grow within planetary boundaries. 

Alongside our internal work, we participate in major international forums and collaborate with external peers to influence the future of our industry. Consequently, we provide a dynamic work environment with every opportunity to shape the sustainability agenda and initiate and execute significant change. 
 

ENHANCE BESTSELLER'S ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT QUANTIFICATION 
As a Senior Environmental Impact Specialist you act as the internal go-to specialist and it is expected that you engage with various stakeholders internally and externally to provide specialised knowledge. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Quantifying and tracking the environmental impacts of products and operations throughout the value chain, including greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and waste generation. 
  • Leading the data collection, calculation and validation of our GHG emissions.
  • Ensuring a holistic approach regarding the different environmental impact areas, like climate, water, land and biodiversity and support in our Nature strategy development.
  • Inspire and support colleagues across BESTSELLER Sustainability and the wide organisation to understand the opportunities for interventions needed to reach science-based targets.
  • Support the internal engagement and external communication of our climate strategy/SBTs and water impacts. 
  • Reviewing life cycle assessments (LCAs), for example next gen materials and establish policies around low impact materials, production processes and products.
  • Leading on product impact calculations and setting up a tracking system for product impacts in line with PEF and other legislative requirements as they arise 

YOUR PROFILE
You have a deep and nuanced understanding of GHG accounting and knowledge of SBTi guidance documents. You are experienced in corporate and product level impact calculations / LCAs, preferably in the fashion industry and understand the complexities and environmental impacts associated with the industry. You have an analytic and pragmatic approach to challenges that arise when reducing environmental impacts in day-to-day operations.

On a personal level, you can engage with stakeholders from various backgrounds and levels, build professional relationships and able to deliver scientific data up to a corporate level. You are structured and driven by a spirit of collaboration. You are pro-active and convincing, and excited to work together to make a difference.
 

LOCATION
The Environment team is based at our office in Copenhagen and ideally you will work from there. You can expect approx. 30-40 annual travel days.
